The process by which a River stone is created is a brutal one! Brutal enough to turn mountains into beach sand. We reject an awful lot of stones before they make it to our tables. But . . .
  • Sometimes, a stone will hide it's flaws until the very end of our time working with it.
  • Some just don't meet our standards.
  • Some may not handle the freeze thaw cycle well.
  • These were hopeful $99.99s that just don't make the cut.
  • Some of our customers use these as feeders.

Love It

I’ve previously bought two larger granite stones and just love them. I took a chance on a whim and ordered the “seconds” smaller river stone. It’s very nice. I nestled it in one of my rock gardens. Always impressed with Dances with Stones.

Perfect “imperfect” small river rock birdbath

I received my birdbath in less than a week and even though it is considered to be “imperfect’ it is perfect for us and just what I had asked for. It is unique and a lovely reddish-brown. It fits perfectly on my deck railing.

Perfect

I love my "imperfect" birdbath. It is PERFECT. The color matches the stone on my house, it's the right size for the spot I wanted it,and the price was great. I didn't need to balance it so I put the small stones inside for bees and butterflies to sit on .

Beautiful - love them!

We ordered two of the odd bowls and they look great, very nice and arrived faster than we knew possible (2 days from VT to CA). One will be a small frog pond and the other will complement a couple of bird baths. Great customer service--prompt responses to questions, tracking info. etc.
