The process by which a River stone is created is a brutal one! Brutal enough to turn mountains into beach sand. We reject an awful lot of stones before they make it to our tables. But . . . 

  • Sometimes, a stone will hide it's flaws until the very end of our time working with it.
  • Some just don't meet our standards. 
  • Some may not handle the freeze thaw cycle well. 
  • These were hopeful $99.99s that just don't make the cut.
  • Some of our customers use these as feeders.

Love It

I’ve previously bought two larger granite stones and just love them. I took a chance on a whim and ordered the “seconds” smaller river stone. It’s very nice. I nestled it in one of my rock gardens. Always impressed with Dances with Stones.

Since it is small, I decided to use it as my incense/sage pot. It's much better than a sea shell! This way birds won't poop all over it.

Birds love it!

Put some bird seed in it and birds love it! Tried to take pic but screen on window made it blurry. Much easier than a hanging bird feeder! Didn’t do second one yet for water. Will try to take pic outside.
